Maintenance FAQ

What to do when the progressive cavity pump can't suck the liquid?

First, due to the suction pipeline or shaft seal leakage will lead to air being sucked into the progressive cavity pump, so the progressive cavity pump will be in the state of sucking air, the inlet pipeline can not form a negative pressure, so the pump can not suck the liquid. Treatment is to check and repair the pipeline, exclude debris, adjust and replace the shaft seal.

Second, the screw pump motor reversal will also lead to the phenomenon of screw pump suction can not appear, adjust the polarity of the motor connector can be.

Third, the pumping slurry is too dry, or running in a semi-dry state is also the reason why the screw pump can not suck the liquid, this situation can only be diluted or to the feed port to add sufficient slurry.

Fourth, the viscosity of the transported liquid is too high will also lead to the screw pump can not suck the liquid, if the viscosity of the liquid is too high problem can only reduce the rotational speed of the screw pump and then improve the temperature of the liquid after the viscosity is reduced or change to a vertical screw pump.

Fifth, in the use of a period of time the progressive cavity pump can not suck the liquid is likely to be the stator and rotor damage caused by the inspection and replacement of a new stator or rotor can be.

Sixth, the valve on the import and export pipeline is not open or not open enough, open the import and export valve can be.

Seven, packing seal of the progressive cavity pump may be packing wear, mechanical seal of the progressive cavity pump may be mechanical sealing surface damage or wear, compression or replacement of packing, mechanical seal damage replacement of new mechanical seal can be.
